For this weeks blog post I will be composing a conclusion for my research project that you can find on my Research Project web-page.
What I took away from the research that I found gave me a better understanding of well-being and ways to improve well-being in people. I also got a deeper understanding on positive psychology, positive psychology is a way to having a more meaningful life and meeting all aspects of well-being: happiness, vitality, calmness, optimism, involvement, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-worth, competence, development, purpose, significance, congruence, and connection. Doing “The three good things” gratitude process did improve my well-being because it really made me value the relationship that I have with my father and also the relationship that I did have with a childhood friend. Doing the three good things made me realize how grateful I am for the relationship that I have with my father because it really showed me how important he is in my life and how he is always there for me for anything. It also made me realize that the relationship that I had with my friend was a good relationship but it also opened my eyes up more to all the people that are in my life now that I’m grateful for and the things that they do for me. As I was doing the gratitude process I realized that most of the things that I was grateful for were the people that are in my life or that were in my life and the bond and type of relationship that I have with them. Doing the “three good things” gratitude process helped me improve my well-being.
